A 5-minute walk from Kintetsu-Nara Train Station, Tsubakiso is partially an 97-years old traditional Japanese house with a lovely garden and free Wi-Fi throughout. Guests sleep in futon bedding on a tatami (woven-straw) floor. Free mineral water is provided.
All rooms are air-conditioned and include a low table with floor cushions, an LCD TV and an electric kettle with green tea. Each room has an en suite bathroom. The sliding paper screens open onto a small patio or garden views in some rooms.
Kofuku-ji Temple is a 5-minute walk from the inn, and Kasuga Shrine and Todai-ji Temple are about 2 km away. JR Nara Train Station is 850 metres away.
The inn is located on a quiet street in a residential neighbourhood. Guests can enjoy the peace of the garden and take in the traditional Japanese architecture. Free laundry services are available.
A Japanese-style kaiseki breakfast as well as a Western-style breakfast can be requested at time of booking. A vegetarian breakfast can be arranged upon request.
Guests staying two nights or more are provided with a light breakfast once(one time only) during their stay.

Apartment. This apartment features a traditional Japanese style building, the independent building, across the garden. Guests are only able to stay in this separated building. None of other guests is able to stay either. Besides, there are two different exits. This apartment features three rooms with a living room, a dining room with a kitchen, and a bedroom. At the end of the hall, guests can use a bathroom and bathtub. Those rooms are separated by fusuma, Japanese old-fashioned styles sliding door. The apartment is located on the second floor in a building with no elevator. Guests staying for two nights or more will receive a simple Western or Japanese breakfast once free of charge. However, you cannot request either Western or Japanese breakfast.
